A Craft name is a very special addition to your Pagan life. A Craft name is one that you choose to signify your commitment and devotion to The Craft and The Divine.
There are many ways to choose one. You can meditate for one, you can have a High Priestess/Priest or some other special person in your life choose it; although it is advisable that you choose it because it should have special meaning to you and should have a unique connection to The Divine. You can just make it up without forethought; the first thing that pops in your mind. You can use divination or numerology to acquire your name.

You can use your Craft name everyday and share it with everyone. You can use your Craft name only during coven meetings, rituals/spells and share it with only a select few. Your Craft name can come from a special connection with an animal (s), flower, tree or place. It can come from your heritage/background or a special event in your life. Many equate a Craft name with the Christian Communion name.
Whatever you choose should be respectful to who you are and how you see and feel about The Divine.
